Since 1980, Baltimore's Black Cherry Puppet Theater, a non-profit association of artists and performers, has presented thousands of performances and workshops for adults and children throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Please join us for the free, volunteer-run build sessions for Black Cherry’s LION TURTLE ISLAND LANTERN PUPPET, for the 2026 Great Baltimore Lantern Parade at Patterson Park!  These build sessions will be at Black Cherry Puppet Theater, at 1115 Hollins Street.

The build sessions start from 9am-12pm on Saturday September 5. They continue on Sunday September 20, Sunday September 27, Saturday October 3, Saturday October 10, and Saturday October 17 (all from 9am-12pm), followed by the Parade itself on Saturday October 24.
